He is the president at the Texas A&M Foundation, where he leads philanthropic efforts for the University. Prior to this, Voelkel led a Houston-based consultancy and served for 12 years in the US Army as an infantry officer. Voelkel is a fintech expert with a focus on blockchain technology, AI, and machine learning.
