Karl Mehta is a Senior Advisor at America's Frontier Fund.

He is a serial entrepreneur, author, investor, engineer, and civil servant with more than 30 years of experience in founding, building, and funding high-tech companies in the U.S. and international markets.

Prior to leading the Quad Investors Network, Karl was the Founder and CEO of an artificial intelligence-powered Knowledge Cloud platform - EdCast Inc. - which was backed by Stanford University and acquired by Cornerstone Inc. He was also a former venture partner at Menlo Ventures, a leading Silicon Valley firm with more than $6 billion under management. In 2011, Karl established the Mehta Trust, his family office for philanthropy and investments in early-stage tech companies and venture capital funds in Silicon Valley.

Previously, he was the Founder and CEO of PlaySpan Inc., acquired by Visa Inc. (NYSE:V), the world’s largest payment network. Karl served as a White House Presidential Innovation Fellow as well, selected by the Obama Administration during the inaugural 2012-13 term. In 2014 he was appointed by then-Governor Jerry Brown to the Workforce Investment Board of the State of California. Karl won the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award from Ernst & Young for Northern California in 2010.

Karl is also the founder of several non-profit organizations, including Code For India, and the author of Financial Inclusion at the Bottom of the Pyramid. His new book, AI for Digital Public Infrastructure, is slated to be released in Fall 2023.
