Dr. Mark Dean serves on the Strategic Innovation Group at America's Frontier Fund.

He is a computer scientist and American inventor who was the chief scientist on the IBM team that designed the original IBM personal computer. In 1996, Dean became the first African-American to be named an IBM fellow and is cited as a pioneer of modern computing. In 2013, Dean retired from IBM and returned to his alma-mater, the University of Tennessee, as a professor in the College of Engineering.
